Gareth Southgate has picked his squad for his next four games.

West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen and Leicester City’s James Justin have received their first call-ups to the England squad as Gareth Southgate prepares for the Nations League.

With the Premier League season over and just the Europa Conference League and Champions League left to play of the European club season, June sees UEFA’s international tournament return.

Bowen has reportedly attracted attention from some of England’s biggest clubs after scoring 18 goals for West Ham in a season that saw them challenge for a top four finish and reach the semi-final stage of the Europa League. Justin can play on both sides of defence and could feature at left-back for England.

Trent Alexander-Arnold, Reece James, Kieran Trippier and Kyle Walker are all called up, and they are joined by Serie A champion Fikayo Tomori of AC Milan.

Another Italy-based player, Roma’s Tammy Abraham, is in the squad along with Premier League players John Stones, Aaron Ramsdale, Kalvin Phillips and Bukayo Saka.

There is no room in the squad for Liverpool’s Jordan Henderson, Aston Villa duo Tyrone Mings and Ollie Watkins, Manchester United full-back Luke Shaw, Southampton’s Kyle Walker-Peters and Arsenal forward Emile Smith Rowe. Tyrick Mitchell and Fraser Forster also miss out.

Shaw’s teammates Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho are also left out after disappointing seasons.

England’s Nations league fixtures:

  • Hungary vs. England, June 4
  • Germany vs. England, June 7
  • England vs. Italy, June 11
  • England vs. Hungary, June 14
