New recruit could be a future international.

Premier League clubs have been busy recruiting ahead of the new season, and Jamie O'Hara is particularly excited by one of Spurs' summer signings.

The North London club have splashed out around £40 million to bag Leeds teenager Archie Gray, in what could be one of the shrewdest buys of the season.

Despite his age, O'Hara believes Gray will play a role in Ange Postecoglou's side this season and told Grosvenor Sport the 18-year-old is so good that he's predicting an England future for the midfielder.

“Archie Gray is good player,” said O’Hara.

“I think he is one for now, as well as the future. He was brilliant for Leeds last season and I think he’ll be a really good addition at Spurs. Some people might only see him as one for the future because he’s so young, but Premier League footballers are getting younger and younger these days. He’s an exciting young talent.

“I think he will feature a lot next season under Ange Postecoglou. Pierre-Emile Højbjerg has gone out on loan so there’s a position for him there, even though Spurs have the likes of Yves Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr in midfield. I think Gray is a future England midfielder, so for me it’s a great signing.

“It’s a good bit of business from chairman Daniel Levy and it’s certainly a step in the right direction.”
