Pennant also suggests a Liverpool striker should leave.

Jermaine Pennant says his former clubs Arsenal and Liverpool should look to sign Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak at the end of the season.

Sweden international, Isak, has impressed since joining the top flight of English football, and has scored 20 Premier League goals in 27 games this campaign.

Isak - who has 10 goals and 44 caps for his country - is still only 24 years old, and Pennat says with him Liverpool would have won the league this season.

Speaking to FastestOnlinePayoutCasino, Pennant said: "Alexander Isak would be a perfect signing for Arsenal or Liverpool.

"The chances that [Darwin] Nunez has missed have been poor, I think he’s missed around 30 big chances.

"They have been costly, easily nine more points they could have had. If he had Isak's shooting boots on I think Liverpool would be six points clear by now.

"If you look at where Liverpool are now, five points behind Arsenal and seven behind City, if they win their game in hand, they would win the league if they had Isak."

Isak is currently under contract with the Magpies until the summer of 2028, but with Newcastle potentially missing out on European football next season, speculation over Isak's future has begun.
