Former Liverpool winger Jermaine Pennant believes he knows who could be a suitable replacement for Jordan Henderson.
The former Reds captain left Anfield this summer after 12 years to join Saudi Arabia's Al-Etifaq with manager and Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard.
Along with the departure of Fabinho, it is likely that manager Jurgen Klopp will be looking to add another midfielder to his squad and Pennant can see Nice's Kephren Thuram as a potential candidate.
"I’d like to see Liverpool sign Khephren Thuram, he plays for Nice and he’s a box-to-box midfielder," Pennant said in an interview with Lord Ping.
"I think he would be perfect, he’s skillful and he can tackle too. He’s like a young Gerrard, basically. He’s a Jude Bellingham type player and he’d be your Fabinho replacement and he could play with Alexis Mac Allister.
"He could cover the whole of midfield like a better Henderson."
Thuram made 48 appearances for Nice last season and scored two goals.
