It's happened again.
Kevin De Bruyne was subbed out of Saturday's UEFA Champions League final with an apparent leg injury, mirroring the 2021 final when he was forced to leave early as well.
The 31-year-old Manchester City midfielder started Saturday's match and was his usual infuential self, creating the biggest chance of the first half with a throughball to Erling Haaland that resulted in a good save by Inter Milan goalkeeper André Onana.
De Bruyne appeared to suffer an injury a few minutes later, but he tried to play through it for several minutes before exiting the match. Phil Foden replaced De Bruyne in the 36th minute.
In the 2021 UCL final, De Bruyne was subbed out at the 60-minute mark due to injury. City fell 1-0 to Chelsea in that match.
