<p>Bayern Munich have an opportunity to take hold of first place in the Bundesliga when they travel to face Koln on Friday.</p>

<p>Bayern trail league leaders Bayer Leverkusen by two points as the German top flight returns to action following the international break. With Leverkusen not set to play until Saturday, a victory over Koln would allow Bayern to leapfrog into the top spot, at least temporarily.</p>

<p>To that end, Koln have struggled so far this season and sit second-bottom heading into Friday's match. Their two most recent results are 1-1 draws against Bochum and Augsburg, respectively.</p>
