The Premier League title is there for Liverpool to lose, believes former Manchester United defender Wes Brown, as the Reds look to deliver a first crown for five years.

Arne Slot's side are the leaders heading towards the festive period, with a four-point lead over second-place Chelsea and a game in hand still to play too.

There had been questions over howe the Reds may fare in the post-Jurgen Klopp era, but led by a terrific Mohamed Salah, they appear to be operating at their best this term.

Coupled with Arsenal and Manchester City's own faltering campaigns in recent weeks, and Brown believes that only the Merseyside heavyweights can deny themselves now.

"I wouldn't say that Chelsea, Arsenal and Man City are out of it, but I would say, even though we’re only in December, it's Liverpool's to lose," he told 10bet.

"Liverpool have been really impressive. They’ve been quietly going about their business, picking up points. They’ve been so consistent

"That has helped them build a nice cushion in terms of leading the Premier League table, because when some of the teams around them drop points, they keep on winning.

"They've got a good focus at the moment. Arne Slot has come in and properly got them playing. Everything just seems right at Liverpool at the moment, doesn't it?"
