Manchester United return to Anfield for the first time since their 7-0 loss to Liverpool in March.

The defeat was the joint-heaviest in club history, and United manager Erik ten Hag admitted that the match was still on the minds of his side ahead of Sunday's encounter.

Add in the Red Devils' struggles of late and the team's mentality could be a bit fragile for Sunday's match, and one player who has played for both sides expressed doubts about whether the United players will be in the right frame of mind to compete against the league leaders.

"I'd say Man Utd will be a little bit nervous about going to Anfield considering their recent form," Michael Owen, speaking to BoyleSports who offer the latest Premier League Odds, said.

"My concern with Manchester United is that they'll go to Anfield and lose 2-0, then a few players will be relieved that it wasn't a 5-0 embarrassment! If I were them, I would pick a way of playing, stick to it, and then hope to get better."

Owen reiterated his prediction for the match, which he thinks will be an easy result for Liverpool to attain.

"I'd say 2-0 to Liverpool. It'll be a reasonably comfortable win. Look at how the two teams are playing at the moment!"
