Michael Owen will be a keen observer when two of his former clubs clash this weekend in a huge Premier League encounter.
Liverpool welcome Manchester United to Anfield and victory for the home side will see them inflict further misery on their biggest rivals while also preserving their position at the top of the Premier League.
Earlier this week, United limped out of Europe following a defeat to Bayern Munich that meant they finished bottom of their group.
Now they must regroup and visit Liverpool with last season’s 7-0 loss still fresh in the memory. Owen, who controversially represented both clubs, has had his say on the upcoming fixture.
“My concern with Manchester United is that they'll go to Anfield and lose 2-0, then a few players will be relieved that it wasn't a 5-0 embarrassment,” said Owen when speaking to BoyleSports, who offer the latest Premier League Odds
“If I were them, I would pick a way of playing, stick to it, and then hope to get better. I'd say 2-0 to Liverpool. It'll be a reasonably comfortable win. Look at how the two teams are playing at the moment.”
