Manchester United still remain an "attractive prospect" for players, insists Louis Saha, amid talk of a move for Bayern Munich defender Alphonso Davies.
The Red Devils, once among the dominant clubs of European football, have seen their stock crash over the past decade since Sir Alex Ferguson retired.
Latest manager Erik ten Hag was dismissed earlier this week following a 2-1 loss to West Ham that left the club firmly in the bottom half of the Premier League table.

But amid discussions they could aim for Bayern left-back and Canada international Davies, who is also reportedly wanted by Real Madrid, Saha claims the club are still a dream for many stars.
"When you’re a player and you have a choice to make between Real Madrid, who seem to win the Champions League every year, and Manchester United, it’s a difficult one," Saha told Betfred.
"Manchester United are still a very attractive prospect for any player and they need a player in Alphonso’s position if Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia don't come back soon.
"The club needs top players in every position to chase what they need to chase. They’re not chasing to be in the middle of the table.
"They need to be chasing the teams at the very, very top. Without those players with massive experience and top talent, it’s going to be very difficult to do so.”
United made a return to winning ways under interim boss Ruud van Nistlerooy on Wednesday in the Carabao Cup, with a 5-2 victory over Leicester City.
