Manchester City’s former captain Richard Dunne backed the club for a huge win over Manchester United this weekend.
Erik ten Hag’s men travel to the treble winners on Sunday afternoon and they will do so as stark underdogs.
City remain in contention for the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League once more, though they face a tough title race against both Arsenal and Liverpool.
United meanwhile are struggling to make certain of any kind of European football, though they did beat Nottingham Forest on Wednesday night to set up an FA Cup quarter-final against old rivals Liverpool.
Speaking to betideas.com, Dunne backed Pep Guardiola to come away with a comfortable victory, given United’s current struggles.
“I’m going to go with 4-1 to Manchester City,” he said. “They’re just an exceptional side and really pushing for everything. The Manchester Derby is massive regardless of positions in the league but you just can’t make head or tail of Manchester United at the moment.
“United are getting results but not playing well and when that happens it tends to get to their head. There just seems to be no confidence around the group – it doesn’t matter what XI Erik ten Hag puts on the pitch, there will be weaknesses somewhere. I think United need to have another restart and I can’t see them getting a result on Sunday – City will be too strong.”
