Manchester City continue their pursuit of another Premier League title as they host Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.
City head into the weekend one point behind leaders Arsenal, but they hold their own destiny in their hands as they have played one fewer match than the Gunners.
That means that the Sky Blues will once again be crowned champions if they keep winning, and now the team will also be rested after a hectic period in which they have been playing several midweek matches in addition to weekend league fixtures.
City boss Pep Guardiola is appreciative for the extra days of preparation, which he hopes will give them an extra edge against Wolves.
“[We had] days off and three really good training sessions, as always,” Guardiola said.
“Fresh the mind and tactics with little details. But at this stage there is not much to talk about tactics.
“Fresh minds and get legs ready for the game [Saturday].”
