City outclass United in Manchester derby

City outclass United in Manchester derbyDAZN
Pep Guardiola's men bounce back from Crystal Palace setback to overpower Manchester United.

Manchester City heaped even more pressure on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as Manchester United were dominated from start to finish at Old Trafford during their 2-0 loss.

After surrendering to Liverpool two weeks ago, United had to endure another one-sided loss to their near rivals as they failed to have any sort of impact against their city neighbours.

City dominated the first half, and their efforts were rewarded early on when Eric Bailly turned into his own net from a Joao Cancelo cross.

David De Gea was United’s best player in the opening period as he thwarted wave after wave of City attacks, but his good work was undone on the stroke of halftime as indecision from himself and Luke Shaw allowed Bernardo Silva to poke in from close range.

Needing to get back into the game, United gambled by putting on Jaden Sancho, but like Cristiano Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes in the first half, the England winger was anonymous as City took control of the game.

Further chances came City’s way, but the damage inflicted in the opening period was enough to give City all three points.

Will Solskjaer survive this result after emerging unscathed from the Liverpool beating a fortnight ago?
