Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah could move into a league of his own against Ipswich Town.
The 32-year-old has made a habit of scoring on the opening weekend of the Premier League, and is currently tied for the record.
Salah has scored eight goals on the opening weekend - all for Liverpool - level with Alan Shearer, Frank Lampard and Wayne Rooney.
Against newly-promoted Ipswich Town at Portman Road, Salah could go clear of the rest with what would be his ninth opening-game goal.
Back in 2020, Salah scored a hat-trick against Leeds United at Anfield, to become the first player to score on the opening weekend in four straight Premier League seasons.
Salah is also the only Liverpool player to score a hat-trick in the opening game of the season since John Aldridge in 1988 against Charlton.
Last season was the first in which Salah did not score in Liverpool's opening game since joining the club in 2017.
If he puts that right, Salah will celebrate his 350th appearance for the Merseyside club with a Premier League record all to himself.
