The top two teams in Group C of the 2023-24 Champions League square off Tuesday as Napoli host Real Madrid.
Both teams were victorious in their respective opening matches of the competition, with Napoli topping Braga 2-1 and Real Madrid earning a 1-0 win over Union Berlin. Now they'll each try to take sole possession of first place in the group, with both in good form heading into Tuesday's match.
The Neapolitans are third in Serie A and hammered Lecce 4-0 over the weekend. That followed a 4-1 victory against Udinese three days earlier, so Napoli have found their scoring boots ahead of this game.
Meanwhile, Los Blancos are atop the La Liga table and have also won their two most recent league matches, including last weekend's 3-0 win at Girona.
With both teams in form, it'll come down to execution, according to Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti.
“We're playing against one of the best teams in Italy," Ancelotti said. "They did very well last year, it's going to be a hard-fought and even match because they have real quality, individual ability and the atmosphere will really push them on.
"We have to put on a disciplined and complete display. If we can do the same as we did in Girona, we'll get a good result."
