Nicolas Jackson professed his delight after his brace helped fire Chelsea to a 3-0 win at West Ham United on Saturday.

The Blues jumped to an early lead through Jackson's first goal in the fourth minute at London Stadium before the 23-year-old doubled his tally inside the first quarter.

Cole Palmer added Chelsea's third goal shortly after the interval as Enzo Maresca's side eased to victory against the Hammers.

Jackson is now up to four goals in five Premier League matches, showing no ill-effects of the ankle injury he suffered in June while on international duty with Senegal.

For the striker, he's looking to make his second season at Chelsea better than his first.

"Trying to play for the team every game," Jackson told BBC Match of the Day.  "I scored two and I am happy. We won which is most important. We controlled the game early."

Jackson added that he feels great after the injury that kept him out of a World Cup qualifier against Mauritania three months ago.

"Plenty of talk and I have been injured for two months, I come back fresh and I hope to get more," he said. "I am trying to work hard and do more than last year."
