With the transfer window now open, much of the early speculation has been around the future of Manchester United star Marcus Rashford.

Rashford has fallen out of favour with Ruben Amorim, and the United academy graduate has admitted he wants a new challenge, with AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund said to be keen on a loan move for the forward.

With plenty of options available for the 27-year-old, former Arsenal defender Nigel Winterburn can't see Rashford still being a Manchester United player next season.

Speaking to William Hill, Winterburn believes the former England man has failed to deliver and can't see a future for him at the club.

He said: “Marcus Rashford’s future at Manchester United seems uncertain, with many speculating that he could leave either in January or at the end of the season. Ruben Amorim has expressed the importance of Rashford performing at his best, but unfortunately, we’ve seen far from that recently.

“There’s no doubt about his talent—it’s there for all to see. I don’t want to overly criticise him because we can’t know what he’s dealing with personally. However, the reality is that Rashford is earning a significant amount of money to deliver top performances for the club, and right now, that standard isn’t being met.

“His form has completely deteriorated, and from an outsider’s perspective, it seems he needs support from teammates, friends, and management—something I’m sure he’s received. Yet, this slump has gone on for far too long. If you were to ask me whether Rashford will still be at United next season, my answer would be no. I don’t believe he will.”

United are in action this weekend when they take on Arsenal at The Emirates in the FA Cup Third Round.
