Despite interest from big name clubs in the Premier League, Europe and Saudi Arabia, Alan Hutton does not believe Jhon Duran will leave Aston Villa during the current transfer window.
Duran has been the target of speculation about a potential winter move to West Ham, Arsenal, Chelsea, PSG and Al Nassr, with big money reported to be attached to the 21-year-old's possible transfer.
However, Hutton feels that Duran is too important to his current club at this moment, making the prospect of a winter transfer a slim one.
"I don't see that happening at all," Hutton, who played for Villa for nearly a decade, told Casino Scout. "I genuinely don't at all. For somebody of Duran’s age, with the potential that he's got, there is no way they're going to let him go this window unless it was for something absolutely ridiculous. I can't see that happening.
"So, bags of potential. I really like what I see from him. I think he's going to get better in time. Especially if he listens to the manager. The manager wants more from him.
"It's not just the instinctive stuff that he's very good at. They want him to get better in the shape that Villa play. They wanted him to work a little bit harder off the ball, but he's got plenty of time for those improvements. I don't see him going anywhere, especially not in this window."
