Tottenham Hotspur squandered an early two-goal lead on Sunday as they fell 4-3 to visiting Chelsea.
Spurs entered the match winless in their previous three games across all competitions and in need of a positive result to kick-start a floundering Premier League campaign, but instead they came away with another loss and dropped to 11th place in the league standings.
Goals in the fifth and 11th minutes by Dominic Solanke sand Dejan Kulusevski, respectively, gave the hosts a dream start to the match, with Jadon Sancho's 17th-minute strike giving Chelsea a spark of life. No further goals were scored in the first half, and it was in the second frame that the Blues took control as a pair of successful Cole Palmer penalties and an Enzo Fernandez goal gave the visitors the lead for good despite Son Heung-min's stoppage-time strike for Tottenham.

For Son, Sunday's loss came down to a handful of mistakes made by his side, although the captain was quick to point out that he was among those most at fault.
"It's very disappointing," the Tottenham captain told Sky Sports. "I don't know what to say at the moment. We did such a good game in the first half an hour. We conceded very sloppy goals. It feels like we lost because of these small details. On such a big stage, you need to step up and score in these moments. I feel like I let the team down and I feel very sorry for the team.
"We can't concede goals like this. We can't dive into this situation. I can stay here all day talking about the mistakes but I'd rather blame me with the chance and I'd rather take the blame. I had a bit of a different thinking when I was running to the ball. I'm also human and I miss. I feel the pain because it's such an important moment of the game. The team tried."
As for how the club could turn things around, Son is preaching unity between players, fans and everyone else invested in Tottenham's success.
"We got to stick together in such difficult moments, it's very important and it's why we need big support," he said. "The players are very young and they need support more than before and more than we had. The fans were always supporting amazingly but I think it's time the players also need to step up. We need some big support and big cheering up."
