The winter window closes this week.

This week marks the final week in the January transfer window, with all deals needed to be completed by February 1.

So far, it's been one of the quieter windows - especially in the Premier League - but deals are expected to be fast-tracked this week as clubs look to strengthen their squads for the remainder of the season.

Here are five of the biggest deals that could happen before the window closes.

Armando Broja

Despite Chelsea looking to strengthen in attack, one man who could be heading out of Stamford Bridge is their Albanian striker. Broja has been linked with a £25 million move to Fulham but is also attracting interest from Aston Villa and West Ham. The 22-year-old has struggled to make an impact for the Blues, and a fresh start could be the best way to rekindle the form seen in his loan spell at Southampton in 2021-22.

Karim Benzema

The French striker has struggled to settle in Saudi Arabia since his move to Al-Ittihad and could be the latest name to return to Europe, with a slew of clubs keeping an eye on the situation. A short-term deal for the 36-year-old would give any team an elite striker who was a Ballon d'Or winner as recently as 2022.

Callum Wilson

There's been a lot of rumours in and out of St James' Park, and one surprise move could be the exit of the England striker. Newcastle are reportedly open to offers on Wilson, and there's been interest from West Ham and Aston Villa, while Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea are also still in the market for a front-man.

Morgan Rogers

A deal that looks set to be almost complete is Aston Villa adding to their attack with the signing of Middlesbrough's Morgan Rogers. The 21-year-old has scored seven times for Boro in the Championship this season but is set to move to the Premier League in a £15 million deal this week.

Conor Gallagher

An exit for Chelsea's skipper is a story that doesn't seem to be going away. The Blues may wait until the summer to offload the England midfielder, but if an ingoing can be agreed this week, it could lead to a late deal for Gallagher to leave the club. Tottenham remain intent on recruiting the 23-year-old.
