Three weeks after meeting in the 2023 Concacaf Nations League final, USA and Canada face off once again.
This time the 2023 Concacaf Gold Cup quarter-finals are the stage on which the neighbours and burgeoning rivals will square off. The Americans got the best of their northern foes in a decisive 2-0 victory to claim the Nations League title in Las Vegas on June 18, but since then both teams have massively overturned their respective squads as the bigger names on both sides took well-deserved breaks after a hectic 12 months of both club and international soccer.
But the "B" squads for the respective countries have still shown quality in this tournament as players aim to impress, and they'll have extra motivation given recent encounters between the nations.
