Wes Brown played alongside some legendary players during his days at Manchester United, but the retired defender says none of his old team-mates are quite like current Red Devils young star Amad Diallo.
With the ability to play multiple positions on the field, Diallo has established himself as a regular at Old Trafford, with the 22-year-old having played in nearly every match for Man United this season.
The Ivorian has been a steadying force in an otherwise turbulent Red Devils side, and for five-time Premier League winner Brown, Diallo is fully deserving of the playing time.
“I can’t think of any of my former team-mates that remind me of Amad Diallo, he is unique and has been excellent," Brown told The Sports Daily. "On the defensive side he is great and he is also scoring goals and putting pressure on the opposition.
“He’s an honest player who puts the work in and can be a real threat. He is direct, fast and tries his very best for the club in what is a tough position to play in. You’d usually go for experience in that position but he is fully deserving of his spot."
