Wes Brown isn't faltering on his pre-season Manchester United prediction, despite the club's heavy loss at home to Liverpool last weekend.
The Red Devils were on the wrong end of a 3-0 result at Old Trafford before the international break, putting them in 14th place in the standings after three matches.
It was the kind of loss that could linger with a side, but longtime former United defender Brown knows there is a lot of time left in the young campaign to turn things around.
Speaking to BoyleSports who offer the latest Premier League odds, Brown explained why he still has faith in Erik ten Hag's men depite the humbling defeat.
"I'm very disappointed with the game against Liverpool," Brown said.
"There are a lot of things that Manchester United can work on, but I still feel that with the new signings, there's still a lot to show and a lot to give there.
"It might take a little bit of time, but hopefully that starts sooner rather than later and I'm still going to stand by my prediction of United getting into the top four.
"Obviously the game against Liverpool didn’t go to plan after a positive first 20 minutes and then individual mistakes gave them chances, they counter-attacked and punished them."
