Bayer Leverkusen took a huge step towards breaking the record for consecutive unbeaten games for a German side on Saturday.
Leverkusen faced Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga on Saturday evening, and proved to be too strong for Harry Kane and co. as they ran out 3-0 winners.
Victory for Xabi Alonso's side moves them five points ahead of Bayern Munich at the top of the Bundesliga, in which they are undefeated this season.
And it is not just in the league where Leverkusen are looking unstoppable. Bayer have won every game in the DFB-Pokal and are in the semi-finals and they won all six games in the Europa League to top their group.
All that combined means that Bayer Leverkusen have not lost in any of the 31 games they have played this season - winning 27 and drawing four.
They are second German side to reach the 30 game mark unbeaten - after Munich - and they are now just one game away from the record of 31.
Bayer Leverkusen could equal the record against eighth place Heidenheim on February 17, but the league leaders should not take their opponents lightly as Heidenheim have not lost in nine games.
If Leverkusen can avoid defeat against Heidenheim, then they could claim the record for themselves the following Friday at home to Mainz.
