When does the 2022-23 Ligue 1 season start?
The World Cup in November has forced leagues worldwide to drastically change their schedules, and Ligue 1 is no different.
As such, La Liga will start August 6 this year and end on June 4, 2023.
How will the World Cup impact the Ligue 1 season?
The 2022 World Cup starts on November 18 and runs until December 18. Ligue 1 will institute a six-week break to allow for focus to shift to the action in Qatar.
La Liga clubs will play their last fixtures before the tournament gets underway on the weekend of November 13, 2022. The league will resume December 27, 2022.
