While the battle for various successes at the top of the Premier League table often get the spotlight, the battle for survival in English football's top flight can also serve as a thrilling climax to any season.
The 2021/22 campaign was a fine example. Going into the final day, Leeds United and Burnley needed wins over Brentford and Newcastle United respectively in order to stay in the Premier League.
