The Club World Cup returns this summer, but it will have a different look compared to previous iterations.
This year's tournament will see 32 club teams from across the world compete for the prestigious trophy and it will be broadcast for free on DAZN.
As expected, there will be English representation, but one team which will not be featuring is Liverpool.
DAZN News explains why this historic club will not be making the trip to the United States this summer.
Why are Liverpool not playing in the Club World Cup?
For this year's tournament, UEFA was allocated 12 teams with three of those spots going to Real Madrid, Manchester City and Chelsea who are the recent winners of the Champions League.
While there was a ranking system in place for the nine other teams, no country could have more than two teams participate in the Club World Cup.
Therefore, with Manchester City and Chelsea coming from England, there was no space for Liverpool at this year's tournament.
