Manchester City legend Sergio Aguero is confident that manager Pep Guardiola could extend his contract at the Etihad Stadium.
The 52-year-old's deal expires in the summer of 2025 with some believing that Guardiola will decide to end his nine-year tenure once his contract comes to an end.
However, when asked about Guardiola's future at City, Aguero pointed out that his time in Manchester is an anomaly when it comes to his managerial spells.
"We'll just have to wait and see, won't we?," Aguero told DAZN on behalf of Stake.com when discussing Guardiola and his future in East Manchester.
"Pep has frequently expressed his comfort within City. He'll need to decide at the appropriate moment.
"However, considering his professional history, he has already extended his contract once before with City, whereas his periods with other teams tended to be briefer. Why shouldn't that happen once again?"
If Guardiola does decide to bring his time at City to an end in 2025, his time at the club will be remembered for the sheer amount of trophies he won which includes City's first UEFA Champions League title.
