Former Chelsea defender William Gallas claims that the lack of a world class striker for Mauricio Pochettino's side is a huge concern ahead of the new season.
It's safe to say the 2022/23 season was one to forget for Chelsea, and with frequent managerial changes, the team finished in 12th place and are without European season for the 2023/24 campaign.
This might be a blessing for Pochettino as he looks to impose his style of play, and while the club have been busy once more in the summer transfer window, the lack of goal threat could be Chelsea's undoing in the eyes of Gallas.
"The problem that Chelsea have is that they are missing a world-class striker," Gallas told Gambling Zone.
"Where is a world-class striker at Chelsea? I can’t see one.
"That is a big problem for Chelsea. I think Pochettino will play nice football, attacking football, but in the box you need that striker that is going to score at least twenty goals a season.
"I don’t think Chelsea have that and I don’t think the new players they have signed are capable of scoring twenty goals."
