Former France defender William Gallas says the best place for Jose Mourinho to return to the Premier League would be at Chelsea.
Gallas played under Mourinho during 'The Special One's' first stint in charge at Stamford Bridge.
Mourinho has also managed Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League, and was most recently in charge of Roma in Serie A.
Now out of work, people are beginning to speculate where Mourinho will next end up, and Gallas believes a third spell at Chelsea is the "best possible option".
Speaking to Gambling Zone, Gallas said: "I really hope that there is an opportunity for Jose Mourinho to come back and manage another big club in the Premier League next season.
"The Premier League is about to lose Jurgen Klopp. Next season, the only big, big managers in the league will be Pep Guardiola and Mikel Arteta, and Mikel hasn’t won the league yet.
"I think everyone would be excited by the prospect of seeing Mourinho pitting his wits against Pep Guardiola and Mikel Arteta – something would happen. There would be fireworks.
"Liverpool isn’t an opportunity for him. They are looking at another candidate and I think it would be impossible for Mourinho to manage there.
"I actually think the best club for him would be to come back to Chelsea. That would be the best possible option for Mourinho."
Mourinho won three Premier Leagues, one FA Cup, three Carabao Cups and one Community Shield across his two previous spells at Chelsea.
He also won the 2016-17 Carabao Cup with Manchester United and the Europa League that same season.
