Women's World Cup 2023 Group B: Dates, schedule, kick-off times and where to watch

Australia have advanced out of the group stage in each of the last four Women's World Cups, and with this year's edition taking place partially on home soil the pressure is on to take another step forward.

The Matildas exited France 2019 at the round of 16 stage after three straight quarter-finals appearances and it has to be expected that anything less than an appearance in the knockouts would be considered a failure for the Aussies this time around.

At No. 10 in the world, they aren't the highest ranked team in Group B — that distinction goes to Canada, who come into this tournament as reigning Olympic champions and are also looking to improve on a last-16 exit four years ago.

The other two teams in the group are Nigeria and debutantes Ireland, who both have enough quality to usurp one of the expected favourites for one of the group's top two spots.
