Women's World Cup 2023: When are squads announced? Roster deadlines for all 32 teams headed to Australia and New ZealandGetty

The 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup is just around the corner, and teams are making their final preparations before converging on Australia and New Zealand for the tournament.

A massive part of that preparation is the selection of the final squad to represent each participating nation, and it is deservedly one of the most anticipated announcements prior to kick off.

DAZN details below when the squads will be announced and how they are made up.

When are Women's World Cup 2023 squads announced?

All teams were required to submit a preliminary squad (33-55) players before paring their squad down to the final list.

From the preliminary squad, the final list of 23 players must be submitted to FIFA by July 9, 2023.

FIFA's expected to fully announce all the squads shortly after the deadline, but most nations will reveal their own squad lists beforehand (and many already have).

How many players are on each World Cup 2022 squad?

As mentioned about, each team's final squad consists of 23 players — three of whom must be designated as goalkeepers.

Additionally, FIFA's regulations allow teams to replace players up to 24 hours prior to their first match due to injury. Replacements must come from the team's preliminary squad list.
