Andy Murray admits that his experience as Novak Djokovic's coach has been a "steep learning curve", but the three-time grand slam winner may continue in his role this year.

The latter withdrew from his Australian Open semi-final after one set on Friday, having failed to overcome a muscle tear in his left thigh, with Alexander Zverev progressing instead.

It brings to a close - for now - one of the most fascinating partnerships in tennis, with many eyebrows raised when it was announced Murray would join his former rival's team.

But the pair, who came through the juniors together and have had a healthy relationship on-and-off the court for years, will discuss their future now, per the Briton himself.

"Me and Novak agreed that after the tournament we would speak," he said. "We’ll do that. It’s a steep learning curve for me as well.

"There’s a lot of things that as a player, you know things are different when you’re coaching, there’s a lot more that you need to help with in terms of communication around the team.

“You’re not just thinking about yourself like you are when you’re a player. I’ve certainly learned a lot but there’s a lot more still for me to learn, that’s for sure.”
