Orange Cassidy showed plenty of heart.
But in the end, Jon Moxley had unleashed too much brutalization for Cassidy to overcome. Moxley imposed his will enough to become the new International Champion in the headliner of AEW All Out 2023 at the United Center in Chicago on Sunday night, ending Cassidy's epic title run.
After drawing blood early in the match, Moxley showed what lengths he would go to by raking his elbow across Cassidy's gash, before biting down and tasting his blood.
As Cassidy battled back, he resorted to a page from Moxley's book by raking his nails across the madman's back, before biting him in return.
Still, though, Moxley maintained the upperhand — at one point coming within a second of making Cassidy tap out to a LeBell Lock. Cassidy managed to get out of the hold and gain enough energy to dip his hands into his pockets before going to town on Moxley with furious kicks.
A clothelesline from hell and hellacious punches later, though, and Moxley had Cassidy primed for a Death Rider. To Moxley's shock, though, Cassidy pushed up from the move.
Moments later, Moxley would nail Cassidy with another Death Rider and this time Cassidy wouldn't push up as Moxley's reign as International Champion begins.
Here's how the entire AEW All Out 2023 pay-per-view went.
