For the last two years since its inception, All Elite Wrestling has quietly built towards a showdown between former friends Kenny Omega and Adam 'Hangman' Page for the former's AEW World title.
Tonight, live in Minnesota, that bout delivered an emotional and absorbing main event with Page finally getting the better of his former tag team partner and friend.
Slimy manager Don Callis earned a receipt for his role in a pre-match sneak attack on Wednesday's Dynamite, while The Young Bucks — who along with Omega kicked Page out of their The Elite group and moved on to better things without him — respected Page's words on Friday's Rampage and did not sway the bout in the defending champ's favor.
After Page hit Omega with his own One-Winged Angel and followed with two Buckshot Lariats, he celebrated with his new championship belt as well as his Dark Order friends.
