Fans of classic video games would have had a smile on their face watching Wednesday night's Dynamite, thanks to Brian Cage's eye-catching ring attire.

Cage, who is currently one-third of the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champions alongside Gates of Agony, was in action with his partners and Lance Archer as they took on the all-star team of Adam Copeland, Dustin Rhodes, Preston Vance and AEW International champion Orange Cassidy at Dynamite's Homecoming show in Jacksonville, Florida.

Upon making his entrance to the ring, Cage could be seen wearing some familiar ring gear as he paid homage to the classic SEGA video game, Streets of Rage. Sporting a white cut-off top and blue tights, the 39-year-old resembled the lead character from the 1991 beat 'em-up, Axel Stone. He even topped off the look by having his name written down the side of his tights in a font that mirrored SEGA's familiar logo.

Streets of Rage was released for the Mega Drive and Game Gear in the early 90s and was followed up by two popular sequels during the decade. The franchise was given new life in 2020, when a new version, Streets of Rage 4, was released on a number of modern platforms.

Unfortunately for Cage, the ring attire could not inspire his team to victory, as it was Cassidy's team who got the win in a match that was dedicated to the memory of Mr Brodie Lee. Preston Vance smashed Kaun with the discus lariat to earn the three-count.

Elsewhere on Dynamite, Samoa Joe was faced with Hangman Page and Swerve Strickland as possible first contenders for his newly won AEW World Championship, while it seems like Sting's retirement match could be against The Young Bucks. After the tag team appeared to challenge the wrestling legend and his long-term ally Derby Allin for a match at Revolution.
