Next week's Monday Night Raw will be a historic night for WWE's longest-running TV show as it makes its long-awaited debut on Netflix.

It's the start of the new multi-year mega deal with the platform, and the company is set to pull out all the stops to make a huge splash with the first episode of their partnership.

Here are five things to look forward to in California on the first Monday Night Raw of 2025.

Huge marquee matches

One thing we know is happening on this debut episode is some WrestleMania-worthy matches between some of the best WWE has to offer right now. Liv Morgan will put her Women's World Championship on the line in a Last Women Standing match against long-term rival Rhea Ripley, while Drew McIntyre locks horns with Jey Uso.

Then there are the two huge showdowns that wouldn't look out of place on WWE's showcase cards, as Seth Rollins and CM Punk finally settle their bitter war of words inside the squared circle and Roman Reigns will take on the leader of the New Bloodline Solo Sikoa in Tribal Combat.

A debut to remember

WWE fans would have noticed a number of vignettes across Raw in recent weeks simply showing a symbol and teasing the debut of a brand new name to the company. Well, all signs seem to point to a WWE bow for former AEW star Penta - a major spot for the Luchadore to mark his first appearance.

The masked star has the talent and charisma to become a massive name in WWE, and all eyes will be on how he's presented if Monday is indeed his debut.

Rumoured returns

With the eyes of the wrestling world and new fans from Netflix set to tune in, there could be some big names who appear on the show. The Rock has been heavily rumoured to make his first appearance since Bad Blood, while there also could be comebacks for both Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair, who both have been missing from the women's division for most of 2024 and Logan Paul after he was drafted by the red brand.

Given it's such a big night, there could also be cameos from the likes of Undertaker, Shawn Michaels and Stone Cold Steve Austin.

The final time is now

One thing that Raw is set to signal is the start of John Cena's retirement tour as the WWE legend embarks on his final year with the company.

There seem to be several possible roads for Cena to go down ahead of his final Royal Rumble and WrestleMania, and there could be an indication of what to expect when he appears on the Netflix debut.

Hints and announcements

As well as a performance from Travis Scott and a new theme and new set for the show, there could also be a tease for the video game WWE 2K25 and even WrestleMania and Hall of Fame implications.

SmackDown stars Cody Rhodes and Biancar Belair have aslo been announced as being part of the proceedings.
