Following the events of last week's AEW Dynamite where Japanese sensation Konosuke Takeshita, at Don Callis' urging, helped The Elite fight back against their blood rivals The Blackpool Combat Club, Monday's offering of weekly YouTube series Being The Elite added some supplementary details to the storyline.
After a recap of the angle from Pittsburgh, we saw Callis, The Young Bucks and Elite associate Michael Nakazawa thank Takeshita for having their backs, before presenting him with an Elite t-shirt and welcoming him as an 'honourary' member of the group.
Far less enthsuastic about the development, however, was Omega. The former AEW World champion seemed uncertain about Takeshita last week, and during the backstage segment he refused to become too attached to this newfound alliance.
Takeshita had been courted by Callis, a veteran manager and lifelong friend of Omega, for months prior to this latest plot twist. But after years of issues with 'Hangman' Adam Page, it may be that Omega is struggling to welcome any new friends with open arms.
Speaking of Hangman, he was referenced on the latest BTE as well. Page hasn't been seen on AEW TV since the BCC's vicious attack culminated in Bryan Danielson gouging a screwdriver into his eye. Page's good friend and leader of The Dark Order, Evil Uno, asked the Bucks to put their own issues aside for mutual friend Hangman and help him get in touch with him.
Matt Jackson, however, opted to lie to Uno and claim they hadn't heard from Page in a while - something Nick confirmed to not be the case after Uno left the scene.
