Strickland faces champion Samoa Joe and Hangman Page in big triple-threat bout.
Swerve Strickland has his eyes set on one of wrestling's biggest names if he wins the AEW Championship at Revolution next month.

Strickland will step into the ring with the reigning world champion Samoa Joe and long-term rival Hangman Page in a triple threat for AEW's ultimate prize as one of the night's main events in Greensboro.

Speaking ahead of the big show, the 33-year-old revealed exclusively to DAZN's Tom Scarborough who he wants to challenge him when he walks out of Revolution with his newly won championship.

"I would like to definitely get my loss back from Bryan Danielson," Swerve admitted.

"He is someone that is not just a cornerstone of AEW, but of this generation of pro wrestling. Him and Samoa Joe are the two biggest ones still currently out there, doing their thing at the highest level. I feel like AEW is the highest level of in-ring competition you're going to get, and the fact that you get it all on national television is a blessing - it's a beautiful thing.

"I went toe-to-toe with Danielson, pushed him to a whole new limit, and I was this close to getting him. Joe will find out at Revolution, how far I will push him, and Hangman. You've already seen how far I pushed him, so I imagine what I'm going to do when there's something on the line like the AEW title."
