CM Punk will wrestle in the main event of AEW Collision when the show launches on June 17 at the United Center in Chicago.
The local favourite will be making his first appearance in an AEW ring since the main event of All Out last year and it was confirmed by Tony Khan, the boss of AEW, that Punk will feature in Collision’s debut.
It was confirmed last week that Punk would be in attendance in Chicago but on a recent episode of Dynamite, Khan stated that the former AEW world champion will wrestle.
Punk will team up with FTR, the AEW world tag team champions, and they’ll face the trio of Jay White, Juice Robinson, and Samoa Joe.
Punk left AEW as world champion but a backstage altercation with The Elite combined with an injury meant that he was immediately stripped.
A longtime high-level attraction in the wrestling world, it shouldn’t be long before Punk restarts his quest to become world champion once more.
