Rappers Drake and Kendrick Lamar have made headlines in recent weeks for their ongoing "beef."
The hip hop stars have traded "diss tracks" that have fans breaking down lyrics and picking sides, as the rap heavyweights air out their rivalry for the world to see and listen to.
Now a WWE legend wants to lend a hand at ending the feud. Four-time world champion Shawn Michaels has offered his services as mediator between the rappers, with weekly television show "NXT" as the forum.
"A little Sweet Chin Music goes a long way," Michaels wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter). "@kendricklamar, you and @Drake are formally invited to #WWENXT to settle this thing. I’m even offering my services to mediate."
As unlikely as Michaels' involvement in the rap feud seems, it was actually initiated by Lamar, who invoked the name of the retired WWE superstar's famous finishing move in his track "Not Like Us."
In the song, Lamar raps, “Put the whole label on me, I’mma get ’em dropped. Sweet Chin Music and I won’t pass the aux.”
