Adam 'Edge' Copeland makes AEW debut at Wrestledream: Four potential rivals for the WWE legendDAZN

It's official: Adam Copeland, known for years in WWE as Edge and an actor with several big credits to his IMDB profile, is All Elite.

Copeland interrupted an assault being conducted by his longtime friend and tag team partner, the current TNT champion Christian Cage, before shaking hands with another legend in Sting as they checked on Darby Allin.

It looks like Copeland will be wrestling full-time for the company, with his in-ring debut coming this week on Dynamite.

But what about beyond that? What will be his first meaningful feuds?

Here, DAZN looks at several potential rivals who could be waiting for the Rated R Superstar - and WrestleDream appears to have made the first very obvious...

Christian Cage

The pair, once storyline brothers, are considered an all-time great tag team but they’ve also faced off in numerous memorable matches. With both in the final stretch of their gloried careers, could we see them meet one more time? It appears so, now that Copeland has sided against the manipulative Cage on-screen.

Chris Jericho

After sharing a Wrestlemania match in 2010, could Edge and Chris Jericho renew hostilities nearly 14 years later? Once tag team partners, the pair have always had chemistry whether as friends or rivals, and revisiting their feud in AEW could be the way to go for both veteran performers if Edge makes the switch to AEW.

Kenny Omega

Edge has accomplished plenty in his lengthy career but the chance to share the ring with Kenny Omega is still missing from his list of high-profile opponents. AEW has taken huge strides in the Canadian market in recent times, and they could grab a stronger hold of that region by putting Edge against Omega on PPV in Toronto or Montreal.

MJF

The current AEW champion has a big decision to make next year but if MJF remains in AEW then a feud with Edge in 2024 could be huge for both men. MJF has already excelled in stunning matches against CM Punk and Bryan Danielson, but can he add Edge to that list as he looks to establish himself as the best performer in the wrestling business.
