Roman Reigns declares 'I'm the Greatest of All Time, this WrestleMania solidifies it' after defeating Cody RhodesDAZN

Three consecutive WrestleMania headliners.

Three straight successful Championship defenses.

After defeating Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 39 on Sunday night to retain his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship and extend his 945 days as ruler, Roman Reigns had to say it.

"This is as real as it gets: The man I beat tonight, his dad told me that 10 years ago ... I'm the Greatest of All Time," Reigns said during the WrestleMania 39 post press conference inside SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. "This WrestleMania solidifies it."

He added: "I'm not the only mega star here any more, the whole Bloodline is."

Reigns also vowed that his family faction is going to work out any lingering issues before warning "we've only begun" and repeating "get used to this."

The "Head of the Table" has now defeated Edge and Daniel Bryan, Brock Lesnar and now Rhodes in three consecutive WrestleMania main events, respectively. More than anyone, Rhodes was expected by many fans and critics alike to defeat Reigns and end his stranglehold as the "Tribal Chief."

WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H commented on the shock of Reigns retaining his Undisputed WWE Universal crown in a match which had a buildup giving Rhodes the platform to finish his story.

"Maybe for a lot of people, it's a shocking outcome," Triple H said during the press conference. "What I will say about that is, it's always interesting to me when people say 'how could that happen' or how could they do that in that moment?' And it's almost perfectly spelled out in this story — 'I need to finish the story.' In the WWE, the story never finishes.

"Tomorrow night on RAW at soldout Crypto Arena," he continued, "the story continues, the story takes another chapter."

Will "The American Nightmare" be granted a rematch? Or will Rhodes look to eliminate the thorn by his side in Solo Sikoa? After all, Sikoa assisted Reigns in the victory Sunday night.
