When asked if he was in favor of a potential WWE sale prior to Vince McMahon's return to the company last month and how he's feeling about it right now, Triple H opted to "stay out of it," altogether.
"Depends on who's buying, I suppose, what the offer is, what the outcome is," the WWE's Chief Content Officer began saying with a chuckle during the WWE Elimination Chamber 2023 post press conference Saturday night in Montreal, Canada.
"I stay out of it," the WWE legend continued, getting a bit more serious. "That's not a cop-out answer. I have the greatest gig in the world. I helped tonight in some small way create the magic we did here tonight. As long as we get to do this, as long as we get to create it the way we get to create it, as long as we get to do our jobs and we get to go out there and put our passion on display, as long as our talent gets to put their passion on display and do what we do, I'm good. I'm good. It is what it is."
He said that moments after heaping praise onto Sami Zayn, who came within a fraction of a second of ending Roman Reigns' run as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.
"I really can't say enough about Sami Zayn — just a really special performer that in some ways, not all ways, but in some ways reminds me so much of like a Mick Foley," the WWE CCO added. "That is connection to a crowd. One minute, he can make you laugh. The next minute, you can have so much sympathy for him. He connects on such an emotional level that I think it's hard to put into words and it makes it something really special. Just an amazing, amazing performer."
