With the 76-year-old now off into retirement, what happens next in the WWE?

DAZN looks at who will be in charge of the company and what happens to a critical position.

Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan

In a press release, WWE did announce the daughter of Vince and Khan will be Co-CEOs of the company going forward. Last month, Vince announced that he would be stepping down as CEO, and Stephanie would be the interim person while the Board of Directors was investigating allegations involving the now-former WWE chairman.

Khan, a former sports agent and co-head of the television department at CAA, joined WWE in 2020 as the Chief Revenue Officer.

What happens to HHH?

On Friday morning, WWE announced that HHH would be returning to his old role as Executive Vice President of Talent Relations. The former 14-time WWE champion stepped away from WWE last year after suffering what was described as a "cardiac event". At WrestleMania 38, HHH stepped into the ring and formally announced his retirement from in-ring action.

Who will be the head of creative for WWE?

This is the million-dollar question. Even though McMahon had stepped away from his CEO duties, he remained the head of creative, which means he scripted WWE Monday Night Raw and WWE Friday Night SmackDown.

For the last 39 years, it's been McMahon and McMahon alone ultimately deciding how all WWE programming would play out.

Bruce Prichard was second in command to McMahon, but it is unknown if he will be promoted. It will need to be someone who knows today's version of pro wrestling, not things that worked in the 1980s, 1990s, and early 2000s, as those ideas no longer work.

The shoes this person will have to fill will be massive, so the choice has to be the right one.
