Steve Austin vs. The Rock: WWE Wrestlemania 17, 2001 - 9.41 

The main event of perhaps WWE’s greatest ever show, The Rock and Steve Austin delivered an epic match with a shocking ending. The definitive feud of the critically acclaimed Attitude era delivered beyond belief as The Rock, with one eye on Hollywood, reminded fans that he was still one of the industry’s best performers.  

Booker T, Kurt Angle, Rob Van Dam, Shane McMahon & Steve Austin vs. Chris Jericho, Kane, The Big Show, The Rock & The Undertaker: WWE Survivor Series 2001 - 8.97 

The battle for control of WWE. 2001 saw WWE face the threat of The Alliance and it was up to The Rock to rescue Vince McMahon’s company. A frantic ten-man elimination match came down to The Rock and Steve Austin, and with Kurt Angle’s help, it was WWE that scored the victory. 

Kurt Angle vs. The Rock vs. The Undertaker: Vengeance 2002 - 8.83 

Despite the return of Hulk Hogan in 2002, The Rock was still very much a key part of WWE’s championship scene. At Vengeance, The Great One outlasted the threat of Kurt Angle and the Undertaker as he became WWE champion for a seventh time. 

The Rock vs. Triple H: Judgement Day 2000 - 8.77 

A match fondly remembered for the debut of The Undertaker’s biker persona, but what transpired beforehand was an outstanding match building to a memorable finish. The Rock and Triple H had many outstanding battles, and this is considered the best by those placing their votes on Cagematch. 

Mankind vs. The Rock: Halftime Heat 1999 - 8.69 

A thrilling rivalry that saw The Rock trade the WWE title multiple times with Mankind was perfectly captured at Halftime Heat. Aired the same night as Superbowl XXXIII, the two rivals clashed in an empty arena match as Mankind became WWE champion for a second time.
