WWE's Drew McIntyre: 'Tyson Fury is stalking me'DAZN
Will we see Drew McIntyre face the WBC heavyweight champion?

We have seen boxers going into MMA. We have seen fighters in the UFC delve into boxing. Is it possible that we could see someone from WWE and someone in boxing square off?

Former two-time WWE champion and current star Drew McIntyre wants to meet WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury in a WWE pay-per-view event in the UK due to "The Gypsy King" continuously harassing him about a match.

"Tyson Fury is stalking me. It's the most bizarre sentence," McIntyre told the Big Issue. "I'd wake up every day, and I've got another message on social media from Tyson Fury. Maybe I should answer him.

"The UK deserves a significant pay-per-view. It's such an incredible fanbase, a huge audience. They're so passionate. There hasn't been a huge show since 1992 when we sold out Wembley Stadium with over 80,000 people. I want to make that happen again, be that at Hampden or Ibrox or wherever it may be. Maybe Wembley again.

"But if it takes myself and Tyson Fury to draw some outside eyeballs besides just the WWE fans -- the new WWE fans, we'll call them -- I want to make it happen."

Fury, of England, has wrestled for WWE in the past, defeating Braun Strowman at Crown Jewel on Halloween in 2019. Since then, Fury's had one boxing match, stopping Deontay Wilder via seventh-round TKO to capture the WBC belt. Currently, Fury is in negotiations to battle fellow Brit Anthony Joshua to determine an undisputed heavyweight champion.

In between the Wilder and Joshua fights. Fury claims he was supposed the Scottish wrestling star before COVID-19 ruined those plans.

"I was supposed to go to SummerSlam last year, and I was supposed to go to WrestleMania last year, and then I was also supposed to fight Drew McIntyre in a PPV event in the UK," Fury said to Behind the Gloves in March. So COVID's cost me SummerSlam, Royal Rumble, PPV with Drew McIntyre, the [Deontay] Wilder rematch, and the [Anthony] Joshua fight."
