The IBF, WBA and WBO lightweight champion has refused to entertain the idea of a rematch against Vasyl Lomachenko.

Teofimo Lopez Jr has again dismissed the idea of a rematch with Vasyl Lomachenko after the possibility was brought up once more.

Lopez defeated Lomachenko in a huge clash on Oct. 17, which surprised many but minted him as the lightweight division's top player.

The American won by a unanimous points decision in Las Vegas after plenty of fiery exchanges between the pair in the build-up to the fight.

Speaking to Fight Hub TV, Lopez explained that he would not fight Lomachenko again because of the attitude they showed him and his father, Teofimo Lopez Sr.

“Because I’mma be a d—,” Lopez said.

“Because everybody [in Lomachenko’s camp] was being a d— to me, my father.”

“He didn’t want to put a rematch clause in our contract.

“There are lots of other things that I can get real dirty into but I’m not. I’m gonna look the other way. I’m looking for bigger and better things.”

With other big lightweight matches already in the pipeline - including it appears Ryan Garcia vs Gervonta Davis - Lopez said he would not be ducking fights.

“This is where I determine where my future is going to look like,” Lopez contempplated.

“And it’s not going to look like a cherrypicker. Never that. I’mma be a fan to the fans. I’mma go out there and take on anyone, because that’s what really matters.

“Cherry pickin’, I know I’m not one…Not Teofimo, not me.”
