Anthony Joshua makes shocking retirement pledge ahead of Jermaine Franklin fightDAZN

Anthony Joshua insists his career will be over if he can’t get past Jermaine Franklin this Saturday night at London’s O2 Arena, exclusively live on DAZN.

Joshua returns to the ring following two memorable battles with Oleksandr Usyk and he’s eager to return to winning ways after failing to beat the masterful Ukrainian.

Joshua remains confident that numerous big fights are still waiting for him, but they can only take place by defeating the confident American this weekend.

Failure to get past Franklin will see Joshua face serious scrutiny but the Watford man is fully aware of the consequences of losing and has said he’ll walk away from the sport.

"I will. I will retire if I lose. I'm not here to battle people. If people want me to retire, I will retire,” said Joshua when speaking to reporters at a fight week event.

“I'm not going to fight if people don't want me too. It's not even about the money. It's about the competitor in you.

"That's what's important. It comes with the business, and it comes with the territory, I know that. I know when I am retired, I am gonna be chilling. You lot put so much pressure on me so when I am done, the chains are going to be gone. I am going to be laughing and loving life."
