Jake Paul could end both Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor's careers, believes training partnerDAZN
Paul and Diaz do battle this weekend, live on DAZN.

One man who knows Jake Paul very well not only believes he has the power to end Nate Diaz's career this weekend, but that he'd do the same to Conor McGregor as well.

Anthony Taylor, who picked up a win on Misfits and DAZN's X Series 007 card earlier this year, has also fought Tommy Fury and, more pertinently, has trained with influencer-turned-boxer-and-promoter Paul.

With first-hand knowledge of Paul's biggest asset in crossover boxing contests - his punch power - Taylor is backing the brash entertainer to end Diaz's foray into boxing before it really starts.

"I hear Jake Paul is looking superhuman in this camp," Taylor told Neue Online Casinos.

"He's training with killers and there's no question he's going to send Nate Diaz into retirement.

"Respect to Diaz, he's had a great career, but he's not going to know what's hit him when Jake detonates on his chin.

"I've tasted Jake's power and his right hand hits like a baseball bat. Given Diaz's age and how much smaller he is compared to Jake, I don't see how Diaz can stand up to that kind of firepower.

"He's got as much chance of winning as Francis Ngannou has of beating Tyson Fury. He's got two hopes: Bob and none.

"If he makes it out of the third round I'd be surprised. Don't blink."

The list of MMA veterans who have made immediate waves against more experienced boxers in a boxing ring isn't a long one, but one big name who made big money crossing over and likely won over some new fans was Conor McGregor after his determined start before inevitably being stopped by Floyd Mayweather in 2017.

Nonetheless, Taylor has warned McGregor that if the Irishman were to have another go at the sweet science after attempts to face Paulie Malignaggi and Manny Pacquiao did not come to fruition, he should avoid Paul at all costs.

"Once he's knocked out Nate, I'd like to see Jake do next is bring Conor McGregor into the ring at a catch weight," said Taylor.

"Conor is a sharpshooter, so it will be more of a difficult fight than Nate, but I expect Jake to rag doll Conor around the ring once he's found his range and timing.

"Ending the careers of Conor and Nate back to back would be a hell of an achievement."
